United We Still Stand

Bloodied phones ring
desperate for answers
that may never come

June 12th’s terrorist attack in Orlando, Florida hit close to home. Family lives just down the street and works nearby. I don’t know any of the dead or injured, but I know people who do and people who responded to the crisis. It’s surreal to see streets I know all over the national news, covered in crime scene tape and blocked off by police cars. My heart is broken for Orlando. But in the face of terror, may we never forget that united we stand.
