Yawning Sun

The yawning sun stretches over the waves, reaches between the curtains, and nudges me awake. I admire it in the stillness for a moment before letting it into the cabin. It gently interrupts the lulling rock of the ship. Sleepy eyes peer at me from under covers. Let the day begin.
