You Are a Masterpiece (A Painting)

It’s been too long since the last time I got out my easel and painted something. My sister(-in-law)’s baby shower was the perfect excuse to break that streak.

I decided to create an abstract background and paint words over top of it. Choosing the right thing was hard, but I think this will fit my new niece well.

One of the prettiest parts is the mix of colors on the paper towels.

The lettering didn’t end up quite the way I was planning, but I think imperfections are part of the beauty.

I have some more things I’d like to make. I just need more white paint. It’s a good way to get out some creative juices while my novel brews. Only a little longer before it’s time to start on the next draft.
